Canaletas, the company manufacturer of drinking water fountains and water coolers, located in Barcelona, that exports to five continents, has closed the fiscal year 2013 successfully.

The development of new models of drinking water fountains and the consolidation of the company in the United Kingdom, as well as the access to new markets, have favored this growth that the company also attributes to "the ability to respond to the needs of the customers, the creativity of its Research & Development department and the experience obtained during almost 50 years in the market. "
During 2013 Canaletas has consolidated its presence in the United Kingdom and has continued to grow in Middle East countries where "there are required high quality drinking water fountains due to extreme weather conditions, requested certifications and the presence of drinking fountains from USA. "
The company adapts its products to the needs of each market. For Saudi Arabia, for example, Canaletas has developed an "anti-vandalism" model for the new prisons in the country, with special features regarding the stainless steel used, the operating controls durability and the cooling capacity.
The Kazakhstan trains and the Berlin-Moscow high speed rail line will have Canaletas bottle water coolers especially designed for use in passenger carriages.
In parallel, Canaletas has become the first Spanish company to certify the quality of their water coolers with the 98/83/EC regulation, which indicates that its drinking water fountains do not modify the composition of the water. "This certification represents a guarantee of quality and safety for the final consumer, which helps us to consolidate the brand image of the company," says Jordi Morera, Canaletas General Manager.
Canaletas has relied since its foundation on innovation with the main purpose to develop specific products for specific markets, and especially to achieve competitive prices. " The forecasts for 2014 – stated by the General Manager – is that the turnover continues to growth, relying on the continues expansion of our exportations and improvement in the national market that has already begun to show".
