To satisfy the new demands
of the market in the era of COVID-19, the drinking water fountain manufacturer
Canaletas, with headquarters in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona),has designed and launched the “Pedal Kit” on the market in record time,
an accessory which can be attached to drinking fountains, allowing their use without the need to touch them with the hands.
“We have developed a solution so that clients who have installed a Canaletas fountain can now easily update and adapt it to the new hygiene needs”, explains Jordi Morera, Director General of Canaletas.
The pedal kit system is very easy to install – either the client or Canaletas technical personnel can do it. It is attached to the side of the drinking fountain without the need to attach it to the ground, and can be uninstalled at any time.
After the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis,
Canaletas began to experience a significant increase in
the demand for drinking fountains which do not require the use of the hands for operation. From that point, the company increased production of this type of drinking fountain, also expanding its range of models. In the
“hands-free” drinking fountains, the water is activated through a pedal or remote front sensor.
“With the new models of hands-free fountains and the pedal kit, we are the only manufacturer offering the possibility of acquiring new fountains or adapting those which are already installed to new needs”, explain the managers of Canaletas, a company which has spent decades manufacturing drinking fountains for the food and pharmaceutical sector, which require very strict hygiene standards, having thereby obtained extensive experience. In parallel,
the Canaletas R&D department continues to be active
in developing solutions adapted to new needs.
