During the Professional Training Workdays held in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona),some companies have been distinguished for their involvement and collaboration with Professional Training in this city. Canaletas, the water cooler and drinking fountain manufacturing company, was one of these.
The company Canaletas has distinguished itself with its participation, developing a project with a high school of the city, tutoring and facilitating the transfer of knowledge between the company and students. Canaletas has also distinguished itself with its participation in Professional Training work groups, contributing knowledge, as well as offering its collaboration for the different projects proposed.
The project proposed by Canaletas consisted of the installation of a liquid-vapor economiser. Students had two devices in their facilities, lent by Canaletas, to carry out different tests and observe the improvements in the performance of the cold circuit. After several tests, it could be seen that the device improved its efficiency.
Jordi Morera, Managing Director of Canaletas, explains what receiving this award entails: “It is a small award which has above all served to encourage other companies to collaborate with occupational training of both young and older people who wish to learn. Businesspeople and managers often complain that the labour market lacks sufficiently trained people, and this is likely also partly our fault if we do not cooperate with occupational training. I encourage companies to collaborate with training”.
