Canaletas, a water cooler manufacturer located in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) exporting to all five continents, counts on a growing presence in Saudi Arabia, where its drinking water fountains have been selected by different entities: King Khaled International Airport (Riyadh airport),Al Jouf University, King Fahd Medical City, Najran University, Mandinat Al-Jubail Al-sinaiyah, Al Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud, Islamic University, King Khaled Eye Hospital and Prince Sultan University. Participating in these projects Canaletas has consolidated its presence in the Saudi Arabia country, where after operating for only some years is already a recognized manufacturer.
Paz Ausín, export manager of Canaletas explained that "in my recent trip to Saudi Arabia I found that the feedback from the constructors who decide on various projects were very positive towards Canaletas, which allow us to become optimistic about our future in this country."
Over the past year, the company –which exports 40% of its production– has increased its exports by 22%, and closed the year with a growth in the turnover of nearly 14%. Canaletas has an already established presence in Europe, operating in Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Finland, Belgium and Poland. The company’s drinking water fountains are also present in Morocco, Mexico, Panama, Angola and Middle Eastern countries.
The company has established itself as a recognized global manufacturer, present in more than 50 countries. The experience in manufacturing drinking fountains as well as its firm commitment to R&D is what allows it to tailor-make their products according to the specific needs of each country. "In the Middle East, for example –explained Paz Ausín– are required extremely high quality drinking water fountains due to various causes. One is the weather: the extreme weather conditions of the area, request optimal quality drinking fountains in order that their service and durability are the required. "
The development of new products and the entry into new markets has enabled Canaletas bear the crisis in these last few years that have been tough for this sector. "We have strived to maintain a growth in sales relying on exportation, not to mention the domestic market, which last year showed some improvement” said Jordi Morera, CEO of Canaletas.
