After a long period of uncertainty, which lasted from 2006, on 21st January 2015, the European Food Safety Agency published its latest re-evaluation of the BPA (Bisphenol A) exposure and possible toxicity for humans. The European Agency concluded that considering the tolerable daily intake and the current exposure levels, there is no health risk for the consumers.

With this report, EFSA puts an end to the long period of uncertainty that concerns the distribution of water in polycarbonate bottles used in bottle plumbed-in water coolers and water dispensers.
